The Terror

The Terror - AMC

Inspired by a true story, The Terror season 1 was centered on the Royal Navy’s perilous voyage into unchartered territory as the crew attempts to discover the Northwest Passage.

Faced with treacherous conditions, limited resources, dwindling hope and fear of the unknown, the crew is pushed to the brink of extinction. Frozen, isolated and stuck at the end of the earth, The Terror highlights all that can go wrong when a group of men, desperate to survive, struggle not only with the elements, but with each other.

The ten-episode series stars Jared Harris (The Crown, Mad Men) as Captain Francis Crozier; Tobias Menzies (Outlander) as Captain James Fitzjames; Ciarán Hinds (Game of Thrones) as Sir John Franklin; Paul Ready (Cuffs) as Dr. Henry Goodsir; Adam Nagaitis (Suffragette) as Cornelius Hickey; Nive Nielsen (The New World) as Lady Silence; Ian Hart (Finding Neverland) as Thomas Blanky; and Trystan Gravelle (Mr. Selfridge) as Henry Collins.

"The Terror captures a rare combination of fascinating history, complex and flawed characters, the inextinguishable human spirit and the horror and promise of an uncharted world,"said executive producers and co-showrunners David Kajganich and Soo Hugh. “We are looking forward to bringing viewers into this world."

The Terror season 2 is coming to AMC in 2019. It is set during the Japanese American internment during World War II. The 10 episodes follow the story of “an uncanny spectre that menaces a Japanese American community from its home in Southern California to the internment camps to the war in the Pacific.

There will be darkness and light; terror and grace; the heroic, mercenary, and craven, all crashing together towards a new reality for Fear the Walking Dead.

Fear the Walking Dead season 5 starts in summer 2019.

The Son

The Son on AMC

Based on Philipp Meyer's New York Times best-selling and Pulitzer Prize finalist novel of the same name, The Son is a multi-generational saga about the birth of America and the rise and fall of the McCullough’s, a Texas ranching and oil family.

The show stars Pierce Brosnan as Eli McCullough, Henry Garrett (Pete McCullough), Paola Nunez (Maria Garcia), Sydney Lucas (Jeannie McCullough) and Jacob Lofland (Young Eli).

Season 2 finds Eli McCullough battling his most formidable enemy yet - a powerful business interest that will threaten his brood, legacy and burgeoning empire.

In the midst of this growing storm, Eli’s son, Pete, returns home and brings more strain to the complicated internal dynamic. Meanwhile, in 1851, Young Eli is now a married man and a respected warrior among the Comanches, but when tragedy strikes his already stressed band, he is forced into a leadership position.

Broadening the scope, 1988 is introduced, bringing the McCullough saga into the more immediate past.  Here, at 85 years old, Jeanne Anne McCullough is forced to come to terms with a long-buried family secret. Throughout the season each member of the family will be forced to confront the sins of their past and adapt to a rapidly changing and unwelcoming world.

The Son season 2 is coming on April 30th
