First look at season 4B - Alicia the leader?

Alycia Debnam Carey

The first image released from season 4B features Alycia Debnam-Carey as Alicia Carey, still carrying the deadly weapon she picked up at the waterpark earlier in the series.

Speaking about Alicia's story, following the deaths of her mum Madison and brother Nick, showrunner Andrew Chambliss told Entertainment Weekly: "She lost both her mother and her brother, so for the first time she’s really finding herself in the apocalypse without any of her biological family. Yes she has friends, yes she has Luciana, but there’s a big difference between having your friends around and not having your mother and you brother.

"She’s realizing that she is on her own and is figuring out how she can keep the memory of both Madison and Nick alive.

"And a big part of what she’s going to be asking herself is whether she can fill Madison’s shoes and how that’s possible for her moving forward."

Debnam-Carey is among the Fear cast attending this year's Comic-Con, where new details are expected to be revealed about season 4's final episodes.

What is happening in Fear the Walking Dead season 4?

Fear the Walking Dead - Alycia Debnam-Carey and Colman Domingo

The first half of season four began with one figure huddled around a campfire and ended with nine. Characters who started their journeys in isolation collided with each other in unexpected ways and found themselves in one of the last places they ever expected to be... together.

In the back half of the season they will explore who they are now – as individuals and as part of the greater group – and how they will forge ahead. They will find themselves pitted against new adversaries – human, walker, and even nature itself. Theirs will be a journey fraught with danger, love, heartbreak, loss, and ultimately, hope.

Who is in the Fear the Walking season 4 cast when it returns?

Fear the Walking Dead - Lennie James and Jenna Elfman

The series stars Lennie James, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, Danay Garcia, Garret Dillahunt, Maggie Grace and Jenna Elfman.

In the first half of season 4, the show lost two members of the Clark family – Madison, played by Kim Dickens, and Nick, Frank Dillane.

Fear the Walking Dead’s new showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg previously hinted that the character Daniel Salazar (Ruben Blades) may return to the show.

"Daniel is alive and out there," Chambliss said, adding: "The details surrounding that are something that we're still keeping under wraps."
