AMC’s critically acclaimed comic book drama series Preacher gets its UK linear premiere in autumn 2017.
The highly anticipated first season of the dark and outrageously imaginative series was described by one critic as “a thrilling celebration of the bizarre… Preacher boasts enough gore, glee and guile to make this visually-stunning adaptation a must-see for fans of the comic and newscomer.”

What is Preacher?
Based on the popular cult comic book franchise of the same name Preacher is a supernatural and darkly comedic drama that follows a Texas preacher names Jesse Custer who is inhabited by a mysterious entity called Genesis that gives him the power to make people do whatever he commands.
Once this power attracts the attention of two mysterious angels, Jesse, his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip, and an Irish vampire named Cassidy are thrust into a crazy world populated by a cast of characters from Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.
Who is in the cast?
Dominic Cooper, the star of Mamma Mia and The History Boys, plays the lead role of Jesse Custer.
This is England actor Joseph Gilgun plays the wild, alcoholic Irish vampire Cassidy, while Ruth Negga (Misfits, Agents of SHIELD) plays Jesse’s hell-raising, ass-kicking ex Tulip.
