'Kevin from Grimsby’, as he is known on the show, has been a Strictly professional since 2013 and has a strong track record of getting to the final.
Here’s what you need to know about Kevin.
Who is Kevin Clifton?
The former Youth World Number One and four-time British Latin Champion comes from a dancing family – his parents are former World Champions and his sister, Joanne, won Strictly in 2016 with Ore Oduba.
34-year-old Kevin started dancing as a child. His first dance partner was his sister Joanne. Later in his career Kevin started to specialise in Latin dances – although he is known for both his Latin and Ballroom prowess on Strictly.
Since joining Strictly as a pro dancer in 2013, Kevin has been a consistently high achiever. As well as winning once and coming second four times, Kevin and his partners have scored some of the highest scores.
“Do you know what, I’m really proud of it to be honest – just the fact that I’ve been in the final,” Kevin told the Radio Times.
“I think being in the final is a massive achievement and for me it really is about the celebrity enjoying themselves and getting something out of it.
“As long as they feel like they’ve had a good time and that they’ve learnt to dance, then I’m happy.”
Kevin finally got his win in 2018 with Stacey Dooley and soon after it emerged that the pair were dating. They were still together when the 2019 series began.
He was married to fellow Strictly pro and dance partner Karen Hauer for three years, but the pair announced their split just before the 2018 series started.
Before adding to Strictly’s roster of pro dancers, Kevin worked on the show as one of the choreographers in 2012.
He also appeared in the West End in Dirty Dancing and Burn the Floor, where he met Karen, and since joining Strictly has starred in the musical Rock of Ages.
Best-ever finish: Kevin won the 2018 series with Stacey Dooley. Before that, he was the only professional to reach four consecutive grand finals – and came second in each.
Worst-ever finish: Anneka Rice proved too much of a challenge for Kevin in 2019 as they were the second couple voted out, his earliest exit by some way - the only other time he didn't reach the final was when he came seventh with Susan Calman in 2017.
Current celebrity partner: Anneka Rice
Former celebrity partners: Susanna Reid, Frankie Bridge, Kellie Bright, Louise Redknapp, Susan Calman, Stacey Dooley
Did you know? Despite being from Grimsby, Kevin is massive Chelsea FC fan.
