Pasha was amateur until 2000, when he moved to the US with his dance partner Anya Garnis in 2001. In America Pasha competed professionally and found fame on So You Think You Can Dance.

“Being on TV was never my goal in a million years. My first priority was always learning how to dance, becoming better and just focusing on competitions and things like that. But then Anya dragged me to one of the [So You Think You Can Dance?] auditions and the rest is history,” Pasha told the Bournemouth Echo.

After touring in Burn The Floor, Pasha joined Strictly in 2011. He was runner-up in his debut year with celebrity partner Chelsee Healey and has subsequently been one of the most successful pros.

Pasha has found romance with his series 11 partner, Countdown presenter Rachel Riley.
