Africa's Hunters

Filmed in Zambia’s Luangwa Valley, the films have captured stunning footage of the confident and cunning cats of the region.

The valley offers a life of luxury to these stealthy cats. Tall shading trees, a creek and herds of antelope, what more could a cat want?

But the gully is the most interesting part of all – long grasses that are perfect for hiding a sneaky cat looking for a snack.

It's controlled by a young female: Olimba. But this wonderland doesn’t come without battle, as she faces baboons, her greatest enemies.

Just the other side of the Luangwa River is the pride lands where experienced mothers raise their cubs. It's not easy raising this young royalty, let alone protecting them from harm. At night leopards and hyenas will not hesitate to hunt them down.

Take a look at some of the stunning shots from the series.
