BT TV will exclusively premiere new AMC drama The Terror in the UK in 2017.
The anthology series, which is executive produced by Ridley Scott, is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Dan Simmons and will air in the UK just minutes after being broadcast in the US.
The 10-episode drama has been written by David Kajganich (‘True Story’, ‘A Bigger Splash’) and is set in 1847.
When a Royal Naval expedition crew that are searching for the Northwest Passage is attacked by a mysterious predator, what begins is a suspenseful and desperate game of survival.
The cast for the drama has yet to be confirmed, but a spokesperson for AMC commented: “With a distinctive combination of science fiction and historical non-fiction, The Terror will complement the outstanding line-up of original series on AMC Global such as Fear the Walking Dead and Into the Badlands.
“We’re very excited to bring this gripping dramatic story to AMC Global audiences exclusively next year within minutes of the AMC U.S. premiere.”
