Fear the Walking Dead launches in UK with apocalyptic stunt

The eagerly-anticipated drama, which will air on AMC from BT on August 31, took over a secret location for its UK premiere.

A top secret London location was taken over last night for the UK premiere of Fear the Walking Dead, the gritty new drama series coming soon to AMC - exclusively to BT customers.

Guests were invited to a secure bunker where they were checked for an ‘infection’ by the “Epidemic Neutralisation Department”.

‘Infected’ victims lurked within the venue providing terrifying chills at the event, which included a screening of the show’s first episode.

Fear the Walking Dead is a companion series to the worldwide hit The Walking Dead and follows the story of the early stages of an undead apocalypse in Los Angeles.

One Direction popstar Louis Tomlinson is one of the first converts to the new series, telling his fans that they should check out the intriguing drama.

The show will be seen on AMC in the UK, exclusively to BT customers.

The first episode of Fear the Walking Dead will be made available free of charge to all audiences on the BT Showcase Channel.

AMC from BT will feature acclaimed dramas such as Fear the Walking Dead, the critically acclaimed Rectify, the Emmy award-winning Mad Men and from October, the worldwide phenomenon Breaking Bad.
