Thanks largely to the handiwork of matriarch Kris Jenner, the Kardashian family have arguably become the most famous family in the world.
If the Kardashians are the closest thing the celebrity world has to royalty, then Kim would be queen; but her sister Khloe, star of new fitness reality series Revenge Body, would definitely be second-in-line.
We lift the lid on some of the things you might not know about Kim and Kourtney’s younger sister.
1. Her hair once fell out
Though she now appears to have thick, luscious locks, Khloe has revealed that her hair fell out in the past.
In 2003, her father, Robert Kardashian, who made a name for himself as one of OJ Simpson’s defence lawyers, passed away as a result of oesophageal cancer when Khloe was 21.
The stress caused Khloe’s hair to fall out.
She revealed to Grazia: “When my dad passed away I lost almost all my hair and I had to wear wigs and I had bald spots from internalising stress.
“When my hair grew back it was much thinner and it wasn’t the same thing so I was always really frustrated.”
She credits her hair’s new lease of life to hair vitamins.
2. She survived a serious car accident
Khloe went through her car’s windscreen in an accident in 2001.
In the accident she suffered a traumatic brain injury and has since had problems with her memory as a result.
3. She was home-schooled
Growing up in California, Khloe attended an all-girls Catholic school in Los Angeles.
After her older sisters, Kourtney and Kim graduated, Khloe stopped attending, and was educated at home instead.
“I felt like I didn’t have any friends. There was no reason for me to stay,” she explained.
“I finished three years of high school in one year. I graduated actually when I was 17 with honours.”
4. She’s been to prison
In March 2007, Khloe was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Over a year later, in July 2008, she turned herself in to serve her 30-day jail sentence for violation of probation.
However, because of prison overcrowding she was released after just three hours due thanks to Los Angeles Sheriff Department’s policy of releasing nonviolent offenders when its jails are full.
Her arrest was re-enacted for an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
5. She and her sisters have campaigned for the recognition of the Armenian genocide
Khloe’s father, Robert Kardashian, was an Armenian-American.
She’s described herself as proud to be Armenian and she and Kim travelled to Yerevan, Armenia in 2015 to mark 100 years since the Armenian Genocide, when Ottoman forces killed or deported 1.5 million Armenians.
I can't believe it has been a year since my cousins, Khloe, Kanye, North and I visited Armenia and learned so much about our family history. Today marks the 101st year of the Armenian Genocide. Over 1.5 million Armenians were massacred by the Ottoman Empire. Today is an extremely important day of memorial for me and millions of fellow Armenians across the world. We need to stand together as one and help get the #ArmenianGenocide recognized.
Khloe married LA Lakers basketball player Lamar Odom in September 2009, exactly one month after the pair met.
For now though, she is dating Cleveland Cavaliers basketball player, Tristan Thompson and the pair are reportedly expecting their first child together.
7. She lives in Justin Bieber’s old house

Khloe bought Bieber’s mansion in Calabasas, California, for $7.2 million in 2014.
Bieber decided to move out after numerous run-ins with his neighbours, at one point throwing eggs at one of their houses.
8. She is extremely organised
Fans of Keeping Up With The Kardashians will be familiar with Khloe’s perfectly precise biscuit jars.
She frequently discusses her meticulous habits with her fans on a section of her app called Khlo-C-D.
Things she has filed away neatly include hair extensions, car snacks, and cupcake wrappers.
9. She got revenge on her haters
If you were to ask me five years ago if I ever saw myself being completely in love with fitness and health. That I would be an inspiration to many others, that I would be the push that others needed to find their way. I would've laughed in your face. Me? The chubby one? No way! But now I can't see myself ever stopping! I am completely honored and taking my role seriously in helping motivate and teach people what I had to learn to better myself from the inside out. Becoming stronger mentally so I can't let the little things break me down. I see myself only getting better and better! I can't believe how far I have come! I almost can't believe that was me! If you've lost your motivation don't beat yourself up about it, negative thoughts only turn into negative realities. By keeping positive about your body, your inner health, your mental sanity, your fitness and what you're trying to achieve, you're way more likely to succeed. My fitness journey was for myself and myself alone. On my terms and on my timeline! Cheers to us becoming better than we were yesterday! #RevengeBody
For years, Khloe was cruelly labelled ‘the fat Kardashian’.
When her marriage troubles began, she strated to go to the gym to get some time to herself and watch reality shows while on the treadmill.
Once she began losing weight, Khloe started to take her health and working out more seriously, hiring a personal trainer.
She has since lost 40 pounds and has forged a new niche for herself in the family.
She channelled her newfound physical and emotional strength into her book ‘Strong Looks Better Naked’ and launched a line of jeans aimed at women with more curvaceous figures called Good American.
She calls her new svelte physique her ‘Revenge Body’, as it is her way of getting revenge on all those who called her fat in the past.
In her new show, also called Revenge Body, she’ll be helping others find the strength to transform themselves inside and out and get their own revenge on anybody who ever doubted them.
Revenge Body airs on E! (BT TV channel 321/386 HD) on Sundays from 15th January.
