Knightfall, History channel’s hit medieval drama series, returns for a second season this summer with Star Wars legend Mark Hamill joining the cast.
The new season will be "darker and grittier" as it explores further the tale of the Knights Templar.
Tom Cullen returns to the series as Landry du Lauzon, the disgraced Templar knight, who must restablish his name and come back to save the Templar.
Hamill, best known for his role as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise, will play new character Talus, a "battle-hardened Knight Templar veteran and initiate master".
Talus is tasked with resurrecting the shamed Landry and saving the Templars.
Speaking about the legendary actor joining the cast, Tom Cullen told BT TV: "He was as sweet as pie from the very first read through.
"He told us all that he loved the show and wanted to really make sure that he fitted in with everyone. He said it felt like he was joining a family, so it was lovely to welcome him in.
"You always worry with someone that famous that they may be a bit of a d***head, but he came in and humbled himself immediately."
