Our new-look BT TV has won a top industry award by making it easier for customers to find the content they want to watch.
We beat stiff competition – including TiVo – to win Best Content Discovery Service at the TV Connect Awards.
Delia Bushell, managing director of BT TV and BT Sport, said: “We’ve barely begun rolling out the next-generation user interface, but are already receiving awards. It’s a significant accolade for a really high-quality piece of product design and development.”
Antonia Barton, TV Product General Manager, added: “We’ve spent the past two years taking user research and constructed a whole new interface that really helps customers find what they want.”
Since February, we’ve rolled out the new interface to 250,000 customers and expect to have all 1.6 million on board by the end of May.
We’ve had great feedback from customers already, with one saying: “The box is quicker, I love the tile-based My TV – and players load faster. Ten out of ten; it’s absolutely fantastic.”

Antonia added that there’s more to come: “We’re updating the look and feel of our mobile and web experience this summer and giving all customers access to the BT TV app. In addition, we’re continuing to develop multiscreen services.”
