We’re officially in autumn now, which means we’re ready to stay in every night until Christmas and binge-watch whatever’s on Netflix.

Big Mouth season 2

Big Mouth

When is it available to stream?

Big Mouth returns to Netflix on Friday, October 5.

What’s it about?

Adult animated comedy in which two teenage friends find their lives upended by the wonders and horrors of puberty in this edgy comedy.

Why watch it?

Big Mouth mimics the tweenage years of the show's creators and real-life pals Nick Kroll (Sausage Party) and Andrew Goldberg (Family Guy).

Dancing Queen 

Dancing Queen

When is it available to stream?

Dancing Queen is available to stream on Netflix from Friday, October 5.

What’s it about?

This brand new documentary series follows Justin Johnson - aka drag superstar Alyssa Edwards - as he juggles his dance life, drag life, family life, and love life. Filmed in Justin’s hometown of Mesquite, Texas, the cameras follow the drag performer’s highly competitive Beyond Belief Dance Company as he prepares a young class for an intensely competitive season.

Riverdale season 3

Riverdale

When is it on?

Riverdale series 3 will be available to stream on Netflix from Thursday, October 11.

What’s it about?

Based on the Archie Comics comic-book series, Riverdale sees Archie and his gang (Jughead Jones, Veronica Lodge and Betty Cooper) entangle murder and mystery in the seemingly sleepy town of the same name. Little is known about series 3 at this stage but we do know that there will be a flashback episode, with the main cast playing their parents - who have been keeping a secret from their kids since high school.

Why watch it?

The show combines the original comic book characters, the angst of teen life and murder mystery.

The Haunting of Hill House season 1

Haunting of Hill House

When is it available to stream?

The Haunting of Hill House is available to stream on Netflix from Friday, October 12.

What’s it about?

The Haunting of Hill House is a modern reimagining of Shirley Jackson’s legendary novel of the same name, about five siblings who grew up in the most famous haunted house in America. Now adults, they’re reunited by the suicide of their youngest sister, which forces them to finally confront the ghosts of their own pasts, some which lurk in their minds... and some which may really be lurking in the shadows of the iconic Hill House.

Why watch it?

It comes from the mind of Mike Flanagan - the award-winning horror movie director whose resume includes Ouija: Origin of Evil, Before I Wake and Absentia.

Marvel’s Daredevil season 3

Daredevil

When is it available to stream?

After a two-year wait, season 3 of Marvel’s Daredevil is available to stream from Friday, October 19.

What’s it about?

Blinded as a young boy but given extraordinary senses, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox, best known for the 2007 film Stardust) fights against injustice by day as a lawyer and by night as superhero Daredevil on the streets of New York.

Why watch it?

For Charlie Cox’s portrayal of the Marvel superhero - he’s the first non-American actor to play Matt Murdock/Daredevil, following Rex Smith and Ben Affleck.

Making a Murderer season 2

Making a Murderer 2

When is it available to stream?

Making A Murderer season 2 is available to stream on Netflix from Friday, October 19.

What’s it about?

Following the 2015 original documentary series, Netflix returns to the Midwest in the long-awaited second series of Making a Murderer. Its filmmakers have exclusive access to Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey, their families, and the legal teams fighting for justice on their behalf.

Why watch it?

If you thought the story of Avery and Dassey came to an end at the end of season 1, this 10-episode new series proves the stakes are just as high for the pair in the post-conviction process.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 1

Sabrina

When is it on?

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will be available to stream on Netflix from Friday, October 26.

What’s it about?

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina imagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story with horror and witchcraft.

Sabrina (played by Kiernan Shipka, best known for her role in Mad Men) wrestles with her dual nature - half-witch, half-mortal - while standing against the evil forces that threaten her and her family.

Why watch it?

Despite being made by the team behind Riverdale, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is more in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist - so one for the horror fans.
