Celebrity Big Brother will be back on Channel 5 later this year for its 15th edition. it;s rumoured to be the last ever series of the reality show, but here’s all we know so far about the upcoming series.
When does Celebrity Big Brother start?
CBB will return this summer but the official dates so far have not been announced. However, it typically begins either at the end of July or at the beginning of August.
Who will be the presenters?
Since Celebrity Big Brother moved from Channel 4 to Channel 5 in 2011, Emma Willis has been a CBB host. She will return this year as well as her real-life best friend Rylan Clark-Neal, who once again will host CBB’s spin-off edition Celebrity Big Brother Bit on The Side.
Who’s in the CBB line-up?
The official line-up for CBB 2018 still hasn't been announced but here are the latest rumours on who will be entering the Celebrity Big Brother house this summer:
Jonathan Van Ness
The break-out star of Queer Eye (the Netflix reboot of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy), Jonathan Van Ness is rumoured to be joining CBB this summer. The FabFive star boasts 881k Instagram followers, is a celebrity hair stylist and has his own podcast ‘Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness’. On Queer Eye he helps makeover participants transform their lives and looks and is particularly known for his both his grooming skills and big heart. Supposedly the CBB bosses are banking on his newfound celebrity status to bring in his massive fanbase to this summer’s series.
Georgia May Foote
The ex-Corrie star hasn’t done much since leaving the Cobbles in 2015, other than making it to the final of the 13th series of Strictly Come Dancing that year and appearing in five episodes of Sky sitcom Trollied. However, she has spoken up about struggling with crippling anxiety and has kept her 540k Instagram followers regularly updated with what she’s up to. Rumour has it CBB are keen to have her join the line-up, especially considering how popular she proved on Strictly.
The Chuckle Brothers
This old-school comedy duo could be hoping for a career revival on CBB. In an interview with Metro this year, Barry and Paul Elliott said that they were interested in taking part in Celebrity Big Brother, and had even been asked by Channel 5 in the past. We’d like to think the two would add a welcom touch of nostalgia if they were to enter the house.
Founding S Club 7 member Paul Cattermole could be hoping to turn his fortunes around on CBB. The fallen star has attempted to sell his Brit Award on eBay several times, and is rumoured to be bankrupt and unemployed. In an interview on Loose Women in February 2018, Paul explained his money woes, and expressed an interest in appearing on reality television to revitalise his career. Surely there's no better place to start than CBB?
Brendan was axed from Strictly Come Dancing in January after performing on all 15 series of the show. He is now tipped to be joining the CBB line-up this summer, and bosses are hoping he will be able to spill plenty of Strictly secrets while in the house.
Eighties pop songstress and Simon Cowell’s confidant, Sinitta has been rumoured to be joining CBB for several years. She has mentioned in interviews that she has been approached to appear on the show in previous year but that her demands had been deemed too diva-ish. Perhaps 2018 will be the year she is finally swayed and enters the house?
The former Ex on the Beach star would certainly be in good company, as many stars from the show have appeared on CBB, and they’re known for bringing plenty of drama to the table. Charlotte is the daughter of late comedian Les Dawson, who passed away in 1993 when she was just eight months old. Prior to her Ex on the Beach fame, Charlotte worked as a make-up artist.
