Who are the new characters?
Danay Garcia has joined the cast as Luciana, a character who Nick (Frank Dillane) will meet as heads on a journey to Tijuana in the new episodes.
Luciana has been described by Fear showrunner Dave Erickson as a "badass soldier", who is part of a group of survivors "who don’t see the dead as a bad thing necessarily".
Luciana will form a bond with Nick, but also isn’t afraid to put him in his place.
"He's the foreigner", revealed Danay. "This is my land."
Speaking to TV Line about the character, Dave Erickson said: "What I love about her is, she’s very pure in her belief.
"I think whenever there is great faith, there’s ultimately going to be a great fall. That’s part of the sad trajectory with her."
Is Daniel Salazar alive?
Nick (Frank Dillane), Madison (Kim Dickens), Travis (Cliff Curtis), Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey), Ofelia (Mercedes Mason), Strand (Colman Domingo) and Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie) all survived in the first half of series two and will be back in the new episodes.
However, the fate of Daniel Salazar (Ruben Blades) remains uncertain. The last time we saw him, he appeared to have killed himself by starting a fire in Celia's compound. However, the show's producers have been coy about whether he might have survived and most importantly we never saw his body.
Will there be a series 3?
A third series of Fear the Walking Dead has already been confirmed and will air on AMC in 2017.
