Lady Colin Campbell has left I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! on “medical grounds”.
The controversial camper was reportedly spotted at the Palazzo Versace hotel on Australia’s Gold Coast on Wednesday morning – the location where evicted contestants stay during the series.
A statement on ITV’s website said: “Lady C has left the jungle on medical grounds.”
The 66-year-old’s exit comes just four days before the show’s final on December 6.
Speaking to Good Morning Britain, evicted campmate Chris Eubank said: “I’m as shocked and stunned as the rest of you. To me she looked in good health.”
Lady C had been one of the most talked about contestants on the show, famous for her clashes with fellow campers, particularly Spandau Ballet’s Tony Hadley and choreographer Brian Friedman.
As a result of her departure, the latest viewer vote has been cancelled. Viewers who voted by phone will receive a full refund.
ITV has released no further information about Lady C’s condition.
At 66, she was the joint oldest camper in this series alongside Dragons’ Den star Duncan Bannatyne.
Before going into the jungle she was best known for writing a book about Diana, Princess of Wales, which detailed her affair with James Hewitt.
Lady C has previously said she has no phobias, but added: “I don’t think I am that brave.”
Asked what she would miss most during her stint in the camp, she said: “My children, dogs, cats and my life.”
