The Chase star Mark Labbett, nicknamed The Beast, might be a little less intimidating in future episodes of the ITV quiz.
Labbett has lost two and a half stone and has even been measured for a new suit by The Chase’s costume team.
The quiz genius weighed in at 378lbs last year, but has undergone a transformation in the last six months.
He revealed the news to his fans on Twitter, writing: “#thechase lost four inches off my chest and six inches off my belly in last six months. So they have bought me a new suit for the show. First target achieved."

He wrote to TV actress Lisa Riley, who lost 11 stone in her own weight loss regime: “I am not at your level yet but in last six months dropped 2.5 stones, four inches off chest and six inches off stomach.”
She replied: "Mark that's fantastic...and now you keep strong and keep going. With zero pressure doing it at your own pace. This is for you and nobody else champion. I'm crazy proud of you Mark Labbett.”
The Chaser appeared on Loose Women last year to discuss his weight and body image, revealing that at one point he was eating 10 chocolate bars a day.
52-year-old Mark also admitted that he’d turned down an offer to appear on I’m a Celebrity in 2016 because he didn’t think he could survive on the rice and beans diet.
"I've been asked to do the jungle but the base calorie intake is about 700. Look at me! If I survived a week I'd drop three stone and cannibalism would be on the cards,” he joked.
