The third season of hit American comedy series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is heading to Netflix from May 19.
The series tells the story of the titular Kimmy after she is rescued from a Doomsday cult along with three other women. She heads to New York City, where she starts her life afresh, making new friends and having numerous adventures along the way.
**Warning: Spoilers below and throughout**
Kimmy is ‘unbreakable’ because her experiences in the bunker taught her to be resilient, strong and ultimately optimistic, no matter what the situation. Although Kimmy is nearing her 30s, because she was kidnapped when she was a young teen, she retains a childlike outlook to many things and is keen to experience everything she missed while she was in the bunker – like getting her high school education.
