TV’s coldest celebrity contest is heading back to the ice after a revamp in 2018.
Dancing on Ice will feature a rival show’s star this series as James Jordan has been confirmed as one of the celebs for 2019.
Occupation: Dancer and choreographer
Best known for: James Jordan’s Dancing on Ice casting caused some controversy as his previous job was performing as one of the professionals on Strictly Come Dancing.
Despite being one of the show’s most famous pro dancers, he never won the contest but did reach the final twice.
James fell out with judge Craig Revel Horwood and by the time he left the show, he and his wife Ola who was also one of its stars were outspoken at what they felt was the poor treatment of professional dancers compared to celebrities.
He now provides a no-holds-barred Twitter commentary of each Strictly episode, and has taken part in reality contest Celebrity Big Brother twice.
He said: "People are going to probably say I've got an unfair advantage but when I got on the ice, I actually shocked myself how bad I was.
"I can dance, but I'm a lot older than I used to be. I want to be able to impress Torvill and Dean more than anyone else, but I'm a lot worse than I thought I'd be."
Dancing on Ice returns to ITV in January 2019.
