Holby City spoilers: Is Jac Naylor going to be killed off?

Viewers fear that Rosie Marcel may be leaving the BBC hospital drama as part of this summer’s big storyline.

Holby City’s summer trailer has caused fear among viewers that fan favourite character Jac Naylor (Rosie Marcel) is about to be killed off on the show.

Rosie confirmed last month that “a major character” would be exiting the show "fairly soon" and now fans believe it might be Jac who dies.

Jac is currently facing a bleak future because of the gunshot wounds from last year’s hospital gunman drama, which may leave her in a wheelchair.

However, she is currently preparing to sign up for John Gaskell’s (Paul McGann) cutting-edge surgery which uses stem cell research to change her life.

The new summer trailer hints at the dangers of the surgery and the potential risks of the treatment.

Fletch (Alex Walkinshaw) has already warned Jac about the dangers in last week’s episode: "Do you think a quick fix is worth risking your life for?

“I don't mean to be blunt, but what about Emma?" If you die, she grows up without a mum."

Jac replied: "The thing is, I'm not going to die."

However, viewers believe that Jac’s confidence in the surgery may have foreshadowed her exit from the show.

The trailer also includes the return of Catherine Russell as Bernie Wolfe, more romance for Lofty and Dom and a Casualty crossover with the arrival of Ethan Hardy.
