Triple Frontier is coming soon to Netflix, and it's set to be one of biggest movie releases of the year on the streaming service.
The action thriller, a Netflix Original Film, is directed by J. C. Chandor (A Most Violent Year) and is from the team behind Oscar-winning movie The Hurt Locker.
The cast is also impressive, with Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac and Charlie Hunnam all part of the main ensemble.

Original movie Triple Frontier is available to stream on Netflix from Wednesday, March 13. BT TV customers can find Netflix under the Players & Apps tab on their TV box.
What’s it about?
Five former Special Forces operatives reunite to plan a heist in a sparsely populated multi-border zone of South America.
For the first time in their prestigious careers, these unsung heroes undertake this dangerous mission for their own gain, instead of for the good of their country.
But when events take an unexpected turn and threaten to spiral out of control, their skills, their loyalties and their morals are pushed to breaking point in an epic battle for survival.
Who’s in the cast?
Ben Affleck as Tom 'Redfly' Davis (above, middle)
American actor and director Affleck (Gone Girl, Good Will Hunting) plays a former Special Forces operative in the ensemble cast. His character helps plan the robbery of over $75 million in cash from a South American cartel leader.
Most recently known for his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman in the DC Universe, Affleck is also an Oscar-winning director for Argo.
Charlie Hunnam as William 'Ironhead' Miller (above, far right)
British actor Hunnam (Son of Anarchy, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword) also stars as one of the five military veterans in the film.
Oscar Isaac as Santiago 'Pope' Garcia (above, second from left)
Golden Globe-winning actor Isaac is most known for his recurring role as Poe Dameron in the recent Star Wars films.
He also plays one of the five former members of the Special Forces who team up for the robbery in the Netflix film.
Pedro Pascal as Francisco 'Catfish' Morales (above, second from right)
You might recognise the Chilean-born American actor from his roles in Game of Thrones and Narcos.
He’s one of the five ex-soldiers who reunite to plan a heist in the film.
Garrett Hedlund as Ben Miller (above, far left)
Hedlund has a recurring role in TV series Mosaic, but you might know him from the film Tron: Legacy.
He plays the fifth and final member in the group of the former Special Forces operatives.
Adria Arjona as Yovanna (above, left, with Isaac)
Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Mexico City, Arjona has appeared in TV series including Emerald City and True Detective. In Triple Frontier, she helps the men with their heist.
Triple Frontier also stars Reynaldo Gallegos as Gabriel Martin Lorea, Sheila Vand as Lauren Yates and Madeline Wary as Tess Davis.
Three reasons to watch Triple Frontier…
1. The all-star cast
Various Hollywood actors have been in talks to star in Triple Frontier since 2010, with Tom Hanks, Johnny Depp, Will Smith, Channing Tatum, Mark Wahlberg and Tom Hardy all attached to the project at various points.
However the casting team have more than made up for the delay, with the film's A-list cast including Oscar-winning Ben Affleck, Star Wars actor Oscar Isaac and talented Brit actor Charlie Hunnam.
We can't wait to see what each actor brings to the fold in this high-stakes action film.
2. The exotic filming locations
Triple Frontier is set in the notorious border zone between Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil in South America, where the Iguazu and Parana rivers converge.
The filming locations were actually Hawaii and Colombia - and boy, does it look impressive, with the exotic locations making for stunning cinematography in the film.
Between May and September 2018, the film was shot in Hawaii. According to ScreenRant.com, it was shot on Hawaii’s north island of Oahu, below.
David Stephens from the movie site writes: “It's a popular location for big-budget movies, with other actioners like the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Godzilla having also shot there.”
According to IMDB, Triple Frontier also filmed in Colombia, South America, in 2018.
3. It’s from the team behind Oscar-winning The Hurt Locker
Kathryn Bigelow, the Oscar-winning director of The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty, worked as an executive producer on the Netflix film.
Triple Frontier screenwriter Mark Boal also worked on The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty, so he knows a thing or two about making incredible action films.
