Who is Graziano Di Prima, Strictly Come Dancing pro?

Here’s all you need to know about the brand new star of the BBC One celebrity dancing show.

Strictly fever is set to return in just a couple of months’ time, and we already know who the pros are going to be for 2018.

Amongst those heading to the dancefloor with a new load of celebrity amateurs are three new professional dancers. We find out more about one of them, Graziano Di Prima.

Who is Graziano Di Prima?

One of three new signings for Strictly Come Dancing 2018, Graziano Di Prima (right in the photo above) looks set to burn up the dancefloor when he makes his debut.

Graziano was born in Sicily and is 24 years old.

He is an Italian Latin Champion and made the top 24 at the Latin World Championships as an under-21, so whoever becomes his celebrity partner can be sure of some sizzling Latin routines.

For the past three years, Graziano has been touring the world with the dance company Burn the Floor, which has also featured Strictly pros Kevin and Karen Clifton, Anya Garnis, Artem Chigvintsev, Pasha Kovalev, and Dancing with the Stars’ Derek Hough.

Talking about his new Strictly role, Graziano said: “This is my dream come true. I still can’t believe I will be one of the professional dancers on Strictly Come Dancing. I can’t wait to give all of myself on the dance floor!”

Celebrity partner: The line-up for 2018 has not yet been revealed, but we’re expecting to see the launch show take place in early September.

Did you know? Despite being Italian, Graziano has represented Belgium at the Latin World Championships.
