Strictly Come Dancing is back! The BBC has revealed that YouTube personality Joe Sugg will be stepping out on the dancefloor this year. Let's get to know him a little better...
Revealed as a Strictly contestant: Joe Sugg was announced as the fourth Strictly Come Dancing contestant on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast show on Tuesday, August 14.
Best known for: Strictly fans may not be familiar with Joe’s work yet, but he has the backing of a considerable 8.2 million YouTube subscribers who can’t get enough of his channels.
Joe is an internet star whose videos, which concentrate on gaming, pranks and impressions, have made him famous across the globe.
As well as his YouTube work, Joe is the author of a hugely successful series of graphic novels called Username: Evie.
He also has a very well-known sister – fashion and beauty vlogger Zoella - so between them we can expect plenty of social media updates from the Strictly training room.
He said: “I’m a big fan of a Cuban heels as I’m not the tallest. So I’m going to embrace that.
“I’m very nervous about it. It’s totally out of my comfort zone and I know it will be a huge challenge but that’s what life is all about.”
