Strictly Come Dancing is back! The BBC has revealed that Lee Ryan will be stepping out on the dancefloor this year – get to know him a little better.
Revealed as a Strictly contestant: Lee Ryan was announced as a Strictly 2018 contestant when he appeared as a guest on Loose Women on Monday, August 20.
Occupation: Singer and actor
Best known for: Lee is best known as one quarter of the boyband Blue, who had hits with All Rise, One Love, and Fly By II.
He will be looking to bandmate Simon Webbe for Strictly advice as Simon was a Strictly runner-up in 2014; the other two members, Duncan James and Antony Costa, both competed in ITV’s Dancing on Ice.
In 2014, Lee took part in Celebrity Big Brother where he came out as bisexual during the show, and afterwards had a short-lived relationship with fellow housemate Jasmine Waltz.
Recently, Lee has enjoyed a second career as a soap star. He completed a stint on Albert Square when he joined EastEnders as barman Woody Woodward, who got engaged to Whitney (Shona McGarty) and fell out with Mick (Danny Dyer).
He said: “I’m so excited to be joining this year’s Strictly line-up. It is a real honour for me and I can’t wait to get out on the dancefloor.”

Lowest score: 19 for his week three Back to the Future-themed Cha Cha Cha.
Placed: 14th - Lee made a shock early exit when he became the second celeb to be voted out of the series.
