Francesca Allen - DUMPED

Age: 23

From: Essex

Occupation: Clothing store manager

She says: “I fancy people’s mannerisms more than their looks.”

Harley Brash - DUMPED

Age: 20

From: Newcastle

Occupation: Estate agent

She says: “My perfect guy would be lovely and tanned. I need a man, I don’t want a boy, I need someone who will take care of me and put me in my place. My whole life I’ve had everything given to me on a plate so I need someone to give me the chase.”

India Reynolds - RUNNER-UP

Age: 28

From: Reading

Occupation: Model and vegan chef

She says: “I want to have a good time and I don’t like falling out with people so hopefully I can be friends with the girls and gorgeous Ovie will still be single for me.”

Greg O’Shea - WINNER!

Age: 24

From: Limerick

Occupation: Professional rugby player

He says: “I broke my face a couple of months ago through rugby so I had a broken nose and a cracked forehead! Before that happened I would say I was an eight… but now I’d dock myself down to a seven with the broken face. The lads always say I give the girls a cheeky smile so that’s probably my best feature.”

Ovie Soko - RUNNER-UP

Age: 28

From: London

Occupation: Professional basketball player

He says: "Treading on toes? Is there any such thing in Love Island? People are going to be put in tough spots on this show. I’m not worried, I’m not going to be disrespectful, I’m confident I bring enough to the table."

Dan Rose - DUMPED

Age: 21

From: Nuneaton

Occupation: Bathroom salesman

He says: "If I like someone, I won’t wander. But if I’m coupled up with someone and feel I have a better connection with someone else, it’d be stupid not to pursue it. There is no point settling if you think there is something better."

George Rains - DUMPED

Age: 22

From: Essex

Occupation: Builder

He says:  "Bro code is having a strong bond with your boys, and not doing anything to them that’s going to have a negative outcome on them."

Dennon Lewis - DUMPED

Age: 22

He says: "I’m quite pointed and I’ve got decent banter. I do have a short temper at times, I’m not great in the mornings, and I get annoyed with people that have bad hygiene."

Marvin Brooks - DUMPED

Age: 29

From: Bournemouth

Occupation: Personal trainer and ex-Royal Navy officer

He says:  "I’m Harry Redknapp’s personal trainer."

Stevie Bradley - DUMPED

Age: 21

From: Isle of Man

Occupation: Student

Maria Wild - DUMPED

Age: 22

From: Cheltenham

Occupation: VIP host

She says: "I’m quite passionate – whatever it is I am doing, I’m very all or nothing. Like I said, I’m very loving. I really do care about other people a lot. I’m very close to my family, that’s very important to me. I can be quite stubborn, I am an only child so I often expect to get my own way and I’m quite bossy."

Jourdan Riane - DUMPED

Age: 24

From: Essex

Occupation: Model and actress

She says: "I’m very understanding, something I’ve trained myself to be. I’m very chilled and go with the flow, and I’m a good listener."

Belle Hassan - DUMPED

Age: 21

From: Bromley

Occupation: Make-up artist

She says: "My dad is an actor, Tamer Hassan. He’s been in The Football Factory, The Business, Game of Thrones — he is my link to the famous world. He is a very supportive dad, he is like my best friend and is always there for me. He’s told me to be myself but has also warned me ‘I’m watching and I’m going to be seeing every detail!’ Because he was in a film with Danny Dyer, I’ve met Dani Dyer when we were kids."

Joanna Chimonides - DUMPED

Age: 22

From: London

Occupation: Recruitment consultant

She says: "Girl code is simply being honest to a girl’s face. If a girl is coupled up with someone and you want to get to know that person, then girl code for me is explaining exactly how you’re feeling to the other girl — it’s honesty and face to face."

Nabila Badda - DUMPED

Age: 29

From: London

Occupation: Hostess

She says: "This sounds egotistical but as long as I make it clear I like someone, then I don’t think it’d be that hard to get a guy. I need to make it clear if I find someone attractive and then see if we vibe. I don’t think they are in ‘relationships’ really yet, it’s only been a few weeks so I don’t see treading on toes as a big deal."

Lavena Back - DUMPED

Age: 23

From: Croydon

Occupation: Business developer

She says: "I’d say I’m funny and always up for a laugh, I’m confident and I have a lot of good chat. People say that if I’m upset I keep it to myself too much, and then I end up ghosting people. But you can’t ghost people on the island."

Arabella Chi - DUMPED

Age: 28

From: London

Occupation: Model

She says: "I would definitely talk to the girls first. In an ideal world I would like to take them out of the villa so they can tell me where they are at. It's the nature of the show that you have to tread on toes. I'm not going to go for the single guys because they're not for me. If a guy is giving me a half way in, I'll keep trying."

Tom Walker - DUMPED

Age: 29

From: Leeds

Occupation: Model

He says: "My perfect partner is someone that I can be myself around. I don't have to play anything up or play anything down. Someone who has got an energy for life, enjoys travelling and socialising."

Jordan Hames - DUMPED

Age: 24

From: Manchester

Occupation: Model

He says: "Girls with a really loud, annoying laugh are a turn-off. Over the
top. I don't like really overly dramatic girls. I like girls who are more laid back and chilled, like me. I don't like drama or people who are high maintenance."

Elma Pazar DUMPED

Age: 26

From: Essex

Occupation: Eyelash technician

Elma Pazar

Elma has been described as a "firecracker" who will "spice up the villa".

The eyelash technician has said that a mix of former Islanders Jack Fowler and Jack Fincham would be her perfect man - or Tom Hardy,

"At the moment I like Danny," she said. "He's pleasing to the eye. Tommy is nice too, but he’s quite young. His head gets turned a lot.”

Maura Higgins - RUNNER-UP

Age: 28

From: County Longford

Occupation: Model

Maura Higgins

Maura had a nine-year-relationship, but after losing trust in her partner, split up at the end of last year.

She describes herself as "honest and caring" but admits that she has a bad habit of "talking all over people".

Describing her dream man, she said: "I would go for personality more than anything. Definitely someone who makes me laugh - they have to have banter, without a doubt."

Danny Williams - DUMPED

Age: 21

From: Hull

Occupation: Model

Danny Williams

The professional model from Hull prides himself on being a good mate, placing friendship before falling in love with anybody in the villa.

"I'm someone people can trust and I've always got peoples' backs," he said.

"I can be too trusting. It’s a good and bad thing but also I always see the best in people I’ve been guilty of being too laid back, too relaxed and chilled out, especially with girls in the past."

Danny rates himself a 7/10 for looks and and says that his dimples are his best feature.

His claim to fame is appearing on a magazine cover with Little Mix.

Molly-Mae Hague - RUNNER-UP

Age: 20

From: Hertfordshire

Occupation: Social Media Influencer

Molly-May Hague - Love Island bombshell

She says: "Obviously, I'll go to the length I need to go to get the guy I want, but in the process, I wouldn't want to hurt anyone".

"I've never cheated and I never would cheat. When you see it first-hand you know that it’s not something you want to have happen to you or do to someone else."

Yewande Biala - DUMPED

Age: 23

From: Dublin

Occupation: Scientist

Will you be loyal or do you have a wandering eye? Have you ever cheated/been cheated on?

I don’t think I have a wandering eye, I’m very loyal. I’ve never cheated on anyone but I’ve been cheated on multiple times. I feel like I am less trusting as a result of that. I think I’ll definitely have my guard up.

What’s your definition of girl code?

Not stealing someone’s boyfriend or someone’s man. I would expect someone to talk to me if they fancied the guy I was coupled up with. At least have the decency to come and speak to me about it.

Is there a science to finding love?

I don’t think there is a science to finding love and if there is then I have clearly been reading the wrong books.

Lucie Donlan - DUMPED

Age: 21

From: Newquay

Occupation: Surfer

What makes you the perfect Love Islander?

I stand out and I’m different to the usual girls that might go on the show. I’m more into sports as well as being glam. I can do both, which makes me stand out compared to other girls. I’m more of a guy’s girl than a girl’s girl. I’ve got a lot of friends that are into riding bikes. I get on with those girls who are bit more tomboy-ish. I get on fine with girls, I just don’t like hanging out with girly girls too much. I like hanging out with guys because they’re into the same type of sports…. less drama really.

What are your three best and worst personality traits?

I’m always late for everything! I can cut boys off very quickly, that’s pretty bad I’d say. If they really like me, I can be like ‘Whatever, bye.’ I can switch off really quickly. It’s the same with friends as well, I can do exactly the same.

But I’m very kind and thoughtful towards people that I like and I’m fun and bubbly. I’m spontaneous and love to do anything crazy and fun.

How would you rate your looks on a scale of one to ten and what would you say is your best feature?

I like my boobs, they’re good. I’d like to be taller. I’ve got an hour-glass figure. Guys compliment me on boobs and hair! I wouldn’t know what to rate myself but they are my best parts.

Amber Gill - WINNER!

Age: 21

From: Newcastle

Occupation: Beauty therapist

What makes you the perfect Love Islander?

I’ve got a big personality and I get on with people really well. People think I’m funny. I don’t take myself too seriously and I’m always up for a laugh.

I’ll be good on challenges and dates.

What are your three best and worst personality traits?

My three best would be that I’m funny, that I am sassy and I’m kind and like to include everyone. I like to make friends with everybody. My three worst are that I can be hot-headed, I’m loud and some people don’t appreciate that. I’m quite opinionated.

How would you rate your looks on a scale of one to ten and what would you say is your best feature?

You have to say ten because you have to back yourself! You’ve got to love yourself. What’s the point if you don’t? I would say ten, but not in a cocky way. I get complimented on my hair all the time.

Amy Hart - LEFT THE ISLAND

Age: 26

From: Worthing

Occupation: Air hostess

What makes you the perfect Love Islander?

I’m a good mix of someone who can be fun and serious, I’ll be able to look after people and I’ll be able to get really stuck in with all the fun things too. Also, I am the Bridget Jones of my friendship group so I need to find someone.

What are your three best and worst personality traits?

My best ones would be my quick wit, my fierce loyalty and my uniqueness. Where I’m from, noone really dresses like me or acts like me. My three negatives are that I give too much to the wrong people, I think nothing of driving 200 miles to see someone who would never do the same for me.

I’m also probably a bit bossy and I’m late for everything.

How would you rate your looks on a scale of one to ten and what would you say is your best feature?

Six and a half. I would give my personality an eight.”

Anna Vakili - DUMPED

Age: 28

From: London

Occupation: Pharmacist

What makes you the perfect Love Islander?

I think I’m different to anyone who has been on the show before. I have the whole glam look, I’m fun but at the same time I feel like I have more to me than that. I studied hard and I’ve got my masters.

I’m a pharmacist and I have a Middle Eastern background.

What are your three best and worst personality traits?

My best personality traits are that I’m very kind and emotional, I don’t like to see anyone hurt. I’m honest and I say it how it is to people and to their face. I’m affectionate, I love hugs and kisses, especially with a guy. But I’m difficult to handle,

I’m a drama queen and I overreact. I’m clumsy and I’m a messy eater. I spill my drinks all the time. I’m stubborn as well, if I’m in a mood then it’s really hard to get me out of the mood.

How would you rate your looks on a scale of one to ten and what would you say is your best feature?

I would rate myself an eight. My best feature is my eyes, I get compliments on my eyes a lot. I wish I had a penny for every time I’ve had a compliment on my eyes!

Anton Danyluk - DUMPED

Age: 24

From: Airdrie

Occupation: Gym owner

He says: “I am Scottish and I don’t think there has been a Scottish guy on the show before. I think I am the first? Laura Anderson and Camilla Thurlow both got to the final. Hopefully, I’ll get further than them and win it!”

Tommy Fury - RUNNER-UP

Age: 20

From: Manchester

Occupation: Boxer

He says: “My brother is Tyson Fury, but I’m my own man and I’ve said it throughout my whole boxing career. I don’t want to be labelled as his little brother, I’m my own man and I’m doing the best that I can do in life and that’s all I’m setting out to achieve.”

Joe Garratt - DUMPED

Age: 22

From: South East London

Occupation: Catering company owner

He says: “I’m fun, I’m a bit of a romantic as well and I don’t take life too seriously. I’m chilled out and I’m quite laid-back. It could be a positive or a negative that I don’t take things too seriously all the time but in a relationship that’s quite hard… Some girls don’t like that!”

Michael Griffiths - DUMPED

Age: 27

From: Liverpool

Occupation: Firefighter

He says: “I get complimented on my smile a lot. People seem to be obsessed with my lips. I’d rate myself 10 out of 10, I would have said nine but I’m a hero so it bumps it up.”

Sherif Lanre - Asked to leave after rule break

Age: 20

From: London

Occupation: Chef and semi-pro rugby player

He says: “As a chef, you’re not really front of house and not many people see you but at the moment I’m doing more service and am finding that a lot of girls are hitting on me and I’m hitting on them. I’ve even been told off by my manager!”

Callum Macleod - VOTED OUT

Age: 28

From: South Wales

Occupation: Aircraft engineer

He says: “I’m a 6.2. When I’ve got a tan it jumps up to a 6.8, sometimes a 7. So, hopefully in the villa I’ll be bouncing up to the 7. I blossomed as I got older. I’m hoping it is still rising but it plateaued a bit recently. I would say my best feature is my tan - give me an hour and I am golden.”

Curtis Pritchard - RUNNER-UP

Age: 23

From: Shropshire

Occupation: Ballroom and Latin dancer

He says: “I’m on Dancing with the Stars Ireland and AJ Pritchard from Strictly Come Dancing is my brother.”

Will there be any plus-size contestants?

Following criticism that the show sends damaging messages about body image, Love Island is reportedly planning to have its first plus-size contestant in 2019. However, there is no sign of any significant changes in the first batch if contestants.

Responding to criticism about the limited body diversity on the show, creative director Richard Cowles told RadioTimes.com: "First and foremost, it’s an entertainment show and it’s about people wanting to watch who you’ve got on screen falling in love with one another.

"Yes, we want to be as representative as possible but we also want them to be attracted to one another.

"Also, we’re not saying that everyone that’s in there is how you’re supposed to look. We’re saying here’s a group of people that we want to watch for eight weeks, and we want to watch them fall in love. That's not at the front of our mind, but we do want to be as diverse as possible."

ITV2 boss Angela Jain added: "What we’ve tried to do again is have a huge range of personalities, people, hoping there’s someone in there for everyone and a slice of British life."
