Who is Karim Zeroual? Meet the Strictly Come Dancing 2019 contestant and TV presenter

The class of 2019 is being revealed – find out more about one of this year’s amateur dancers.

It’s that time of year again – Strictly Come Dancing’s celebrity cast for the coming series is being announced.

Find out more about one of the Glitterball Trophy contenders, Karim Zeroual.

Revealed as a Strictly contestant: Karim was the seventh Strictly 2019 contestant to be announced, at the CBBC Summer Social Festival on August 3.

Age: 25

Occupation: CBBC presenter

Best known for: Parents of young kids are likely to be familiar with Karim from his presenting role at CBBC, which has also taken him to BBC coverage for other events including Wimbledon and BBC Young Dancer.

Before landing his CBBC job, Karim was a regular in West End shows which will have prepped him well for Strictly.

He said: “To be offered the chance to take part in Strictly is dumbfounding, I’m pinching myself!

“I’m so excited to be Strictlified. I want THE LOT. The skimpiest of clothes, the widest of flares, the brightest of colours and the tallest Cuban heel a guy can find! The more flamboyant the better… sequins galore please!”
