The ITV contest is back, and this time Malique Thompson-Dwyer has been signed up as a contestant. But who is he, and what's his biggest jungle fear?

Age: 20

Occupation: Soap star

Best known for: Hollyoaks fans will know Malique Thompson-Dwyer as the Channel 4 soap’s Prince McQueen.

It’s a great first role for a young actor to be cast as one of the notorious McQueen family, and he even got Chelsee Healey as his screen mum.

Prince’s main storylines have included his relationship with his twin brother Hunter and getting married as a teenager, and he is about to be plunged into a cancer scare story.

As the youngest contestant in this year's show, Malique could appeal to younger viewers alongside Vamps star James McVey.

He said: “It’s going to be scary. I have never had this much time away. I live with friends in Liverpool, but I see my Mum all the time.”

Jungle fears: “Claustrophobia. I’m also dreading eating testicles!”
